Baby Oak is on the way
Annabelle and Nik invited me into their home to capture their beautiful, blended family, with a son named Oak on the way. The love between them and their children was palpable, and made documenting their family so comfortable and simple. Throughout the entire experience they were open with me and shared their stories about the difficulties, tender moments, and beauty that they have all experienced as they have became one family. Annabelle is a radiant and strong mother, and photographing her blooming belly was an ethereal experience. Lola and Effie showed me their drawings and toys and played freely in front of my camera. As a photographer these are the moments that I seek, and there is no greater feeling than capturing a transitional moment in time for a family so graceful and full of beauty.
